My 50th Birthday
As women, we spend most of our time taking care of others. We may have husbands, children, aging parents, jobs and homes that we are constantly overseeing. We need to take the time to celebrate OUR birthdays, job promotions, business creation, or whatever!
I made a choice this year to give myself permission to be selfish. Recently, I realized that during my whole adult life, I’ve put everyone else’s need before my own. My 50 years of life milestone may have had something to do with that realization. I believe that may be the exact reason why the Red Hat Society started in the first place! I could totally relate to that concept now! I’m not sure if my adult children are liking the new me, (as you can tell from the above picture, I think I’m 12 years old). My kids, I’m sure think that I have finally lost my mind, but why not wear a unicorn horn and a floor length tutu?
This is my year to do what I want to do! I have decided to launch a Professional Organizing business! I’m probably not the most likely candidate to start a business organizing since I wasn’t born an “organizer”! Looking back over the years, I know that I had good intention to get organized but my mindset wasn’t there, once that changed, I felt like I can accomplish anything! When I told my husband what my new business venture would be, he responded, “But you’re turning 50”! That my friends, is the exact reason why I’m doing it, if not now then when?
